Another trip around the sun.
I’ve crept.
Careened.
Counted.
365 – a beautiful blur.
Lapping at the speed of life,
the world can warp in the wild whirl.

This trip, pack light.
Lean in.
Listen.
Sojourn s-l-o-w.

Catch comets and quiet with lens and light.
Sonnets in the sycamores,
Ballad of His breath.
Eternal etched in earth.
Good and perfect from one Giver, all light.

Taste and see.
Feast and fill.
Give awe and all.
Might our wonder be worship?
Our pausing, praise?

Sometimes a faith dance in a soul drought
looks a lot like standing still.
Wake wide-eyed to the smile of God.
Snap the shutter.
Smile back.
